Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated (Junior) Assay Development Scientist (m/f/d) to join us in Vienna, Austria. In this role, you will work together with internal and external stakeholders on the development of genetic and epigenetic liquid biopsy assays.

Main Responsibilities
- Assay development activities in collaboration with globally leading international development partner.
- Perform DNA extraction, qPCR, and fragment analysis from native human samples.
- Prepare and sequence libraries using Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT), ensuring optimal data quality.
- Process multiple samples in parallel with accuracy and reliability.
- Ensure accurate sample tracking, SOP compliance, and quality control for reproducible results
- Manage and replenish laboratory supplies, reagents, and consumables to maintain seamless operations.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to optimize workflows and drive continuous improvements.
Requirements
- University degree qualification in molecular biology, biochemistry, or similar discipline with relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques, particularly DNA extraction, qPCR, and fragment analysis.
- Experience with Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) sequencing and library preparation is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on mentality and can-do attitude.
- Good level of English.
